Wallplate Covers
Never caulk wallplate covers to the walls!
Before you paint any wall, always remove the wallplate covers. It only takes a few seconds with a standard screwdriver. (You can tape the screw to the cover so it doesn’t get lost). This will give you a clean, crisp, professional look.
When reinstalling, if your plates don’t cover the opening or a previous messy paint job, there’s an easy and inexpensive fix.
Plug and plate covers come in three sizes. Most of the time, the middle size will cover any previous hole or messy job.
